Marilyn-After by Nonnie Griffin

Baby Gumm Productions was pleased to present Canadian theatre legend Nonnie Griffin in her one-woman show, Marilyn-After. The play imagines Marilyn Monroe coming back to life fifty years after her death to tell us about her life, her loves and her untimely passing.

Nonnie Griffin has been praised for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe.  The play was originally directed by Peggy Mahon. Darren Stewart-Jones produced the 2015 tour of Marilyn-After, which culminated at the United Solo Festival in New York.

Griffin, who bore a striking resemblance to Monroe, brought her effortlessly to life in an evening of shocking truths, mitigated by touches of wit and humour, for which Monroe was famous.

Nonnie Griffin is indelibly remembered for her performances in such Toronto stage productions as Hello Dolly!, Waiting For The Parade and The Sea. Canadian television audiences may recognize Nonnie from her guest starring roles on numerous series, including King of Kensington, Doc, RoboCop, Forever Knight and Street Legal. She was also a favourite on the children's television series, Polka Dot Door.

Marilyn-After played to enthusiastic crowds and standing ovations in Hamilton, Stratford, London, Kitchener, Collingwood and Toronto. In 2015,  Ms. Griffin wowed the audience with her performance in Marilyn-After on Theatre Row in New York City as part of the United Solo Theatre Festival, winning the award for Best International Show.
